In this webinar on sustainable assets we focus on the transition from current fossil physical assets to zero emission physical assets. To make the transition to a sustainable society physical assets are an important resource. Zero emission assets have an important contribution to this transition. Main topic of this webinar will be how simulations of different scenario’s based on a underlying system dynamics model can give valuable insights to stakeholders involved and facilitates decision-making in the transition process. Also importance of connecting sustainability approaches on a world scale, a regional scale and a local scale will be highlighted i.e. relations between insights with the EN-ROADS Simulator (world scale) connected to a simulator on a national level.

Assets like ships, means of transportation, power and industrial plants are major drivers of emissions. And although there are many options for sustainability, large investments and innovations are required. To get an idea of the impact of making assets more sustainable we employ simulation models. Together with stakeholder and experts we define different scenarios. We assess the results in order to make more balanced decisions about the measures that need to be taken.
