Communicating about complex (system dynamical) models is perhaps just as important as the models themselves. But how do you make the acquired knowledge of those involved comprehensible and legible, not only for the directly involved client but also for the wider ‘outside world’? The System Dynamic models that Copernicos develops together with those involved, are often difficult to fathom and therefore require a translation into a lucid text or an apprehensible scenario. Making this translation contributes not only to an easier retrieval of knowledge, but also to a mutual, beneficial sharing of it, both between stakeholders and with the ‘outside world’. Which media to use for this translation, is an important question because here too: ‘The medium is the message’.
At Copernicos Martine concerns herself with various aspects of communications and is furthermore Copernicos’ project assistant. For questions about organization or planning, Martine is the designated person.
